VLADIMIR PUTIN pledges with MACRON to stop ATTACKS on CIVILIANS in UKRAINE
The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has held a conversation via telephone with the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, with whom he has committed to cease attacks on civilians in Ukraine. "Putin confirmed his willingness to commit on these three points" reported the Elysee referring to the aforementioned suspension of attacks on civilians, homes and civilian infrastructure. He will also continue to be in contact with the French President in order to prevent the situation from worsening. In this call which lasted about an hour and a half, President Macron spoke to him about the "need for an immediate ceasefire" and the respect for international humanitarian law and the protection of humanitarian arrivals in Ukraine. The French President also spoke with President Zelenski of Ukraine earlier in the day, who asked him to call Putin.
