Europe to freeze assets of Vladimir Putin, Lavrov over Ukraine invasion

European Union states have agreed to freeze the fortunes of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his foreign minister Sergei Lavrov on the European continent, according to statements by European diplomacy chief Joseph Borrell. European leaders are reportedly preparing a third package of economic sanctions against Russia, after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky lamented the insufficient reaction from Europe.
