#Ukraine: #Zelensky calls on Putin to negotiate

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to join him at the negotiation table to end the conflict, speaking in Kiev on Friday. Russia launched a military offensive against Ukraine in the early hours of Thursday, in a move strongly condemned by world leaders. Zelensky said earlier on Friday that 137 civilians and military personnel were killed in the country on the first day of Russia's offensive.
