Tate Modern exhibits surrealism as a global movement of struggle

With a presence in Cairo, Prague, Belgrade or Mexico City, surrealism is much more than its origins in Paris in 1924, because during the last century it spread throughout the world by the hand of dissidents and revolutionaries who resorted to this dreamlike vision of art to express their desire for freedom.
