Thousands of people displaced in Myanmar as record rainfall triggers flooding in Bago bnnn nn

Over 14,000 residents in Myanmar have been displaced from major flooding in the city of Bago. Record rainfall triggered flooding in the city northeast of Yangon on October 10, 2023, according to state media. More than 5,000 people have sought shelter in makeshift centres. Flooding has affected nine of Myanmar's states and regions since July.
