Hong Kong firefighters battle skyscraper blaze all night, investigation under way

Firefighters tackled a major blaze at a skyscraper under construction in a major Hong Kong shopping district on March 2, 2023. It took 250 firefighters nine hours to put out the blaze in Tsim Sha Tsui. Authorities said strong winds spread the fire to neighbouring buildings and that construction materials obstructed the operation. Around 170 residents were evacuated from the area. No one was hurt in the incident and the cause of the fire was still under investigation.
