Gerard Piqué announces he is retiring from soccer and will play his last game

Gerard Piqué has announced through a video posted on social networks that next Saturday he will play his last game with Barcelona at Camp Nou. At 35 years of age, the center-back assures that the time has come to say goodbye and therefore does not consider playing for any other team after having also lined up with Manchester United and Zaragoza. Despite having signed a contract until 2024, Pique has chosen to leave soccer after a start to the season in which he has been relegated to the bench and has even received some whistles from the Camp Nou fans. The former international defender, who left the Spanish national team in 2018, played last Wednesday in Pilsen against Vicktoria in Champions League match.
