Army Doctor Makes Surprise Homecoming Hours Before Wife Gives Birth

A doctor serving in the US Army National Guard surprised his wife on September 17, when he unexpectedly returned home from Iraq to Oak Lawn, Illinois, in time for the birth of their first child. Dr Harold Leroy Rahming had been deployed to the Middle East as an Army physician for three months, and was not supposed to come home until late October, he said.
