US Navy Veteran Confronts Gunman on His Property

A Georgia homeowner saw a gunman sneaking down his driveway at night. Whitfield Smith, a U.S. Navy veteran, says he spotted the gunman running across his front lawn around 2 a.m. In pajamas and flip-flops, Smith fired a warning shot which erupted into a shootout between the intruders and homeowner, causing bullets to shatter Smith's car windows. A few minutes later, he emerged from his house fully dressed, wearing sneakers and armed with a bigger rifle. That's when the prowlers fled the scene.
