#VIRAL: This girl cooing and singing a kitten to sleep

When her mother told River that she had to help her care for the new kittens as if they were newborn babies, the four-year-old took it very seriously. Every night since then, River holds Rainbow, one of the six-week-old kittens, wraps him in a blanket and sings "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" to him until he falls asleep. Her mother, Christine Reiter, 34, rescued Rainbow and her sister Penelope when they were three weeks old. Christine said, "River is usually a girl with a lot of energy, so seeing her at a relaxed enough pace to put a kitten to sleep is very sweet.
