Thunderstorms Touch Mountain Land and Fuel Historic Fires in California
These thunderstorms and the extreme heat wave in California will continue to aggravate the situation. Over one million acres of land have burned this fire season and firefighters are already running out of capacity to control them, despite reinforcements coming from other states. Six people have died, 240,000 have been evacuated and over 500 structures are reported destroyed.
