Government of Mexico asks migrant caravan to respect institutionality

A group of Central American migrants crossed this Monday to Mexico through the Suchiate River, before the closure of the border crossing in Ciudad Hidalgo, Chiapas. A new group of Central American migrants, who advanced by caravan from Honduras, began approaching the border post that connects the Guatemalan city of Tecún Umán with Mexico on Monday. In the place, they gave the Government of Mexico a period of three hours to allow the passage to that country. After the time was up, the migrants advanced through the river that marks the western border with Guatemala.
