Emile Hirsch Pleads Guilty to Misdeanor Assault

Actor Emile Hirsch has been sentenced to 15 days in jail after pleading guilty to misdemeanor assault. The 30-year-old actor took responsibility for attacking Daniele Bernfeld, a studio executive, at a Utah nightclub during the Sundance Film Festival. Bernfeld says she feared for her life when he put her in a chokehold and dragged her across a table then slamming her to the floor. Hirsch says he was drunk and doesn’t remember what happened. He must pay a $4750 fine and complete 50 hours of community sentence.
