Predictions for MTV Movie & TV Awards

The 2019 MTV Movie and TV Awards are coming up next week and we are predicting the winners right here right now! So don’t go anywhere! What’s up y’all? It’s Emile Ennis Jr. here with Clevver News and the MTV Movie and TV Awards are the best because they honor our favs from the big and small screens in one giant show. Oh, and the winners are fan-elected, which means we get to vote! But not everyone can take home the golden popcorn, so we are rounding up some of our predictions for this year’s winners. First up, for the biggest award of the night AKA Best Movie. The nominees are Avengers: Endgame, BlacKkKlansman, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, and Us. And while my heart wishes To All the Boys would win, I have a pretty strong feeling this one is going to go to Avengers: Endgame. I mean this is fan voted right, and Avengers did make over $2.73 million dollars at the box office. So if just a small fraction of those people decided to vote, it would likely beat all the others by a long shot. And it was a great movie -- a culmination of 22 films. I mean, it definitely deserves to take home the golden popcorn for this category. Next category we are predicting is Best Show. And I have a kind of controversial take on this one, but hear me out. The nominees are Big Mouth, Game of Thrones, Riverdale, Schitt’s Creek, and The Haunting of Hill House. So the obvious answer is Game of Thrones right? But because so many people were outraged with how the series ended, I think this one is going to go to Riverdale. You also have to think about the people who vote for the MTV Movie and TV Awards, it’s people like you and me! And we would watch Riverdale over Game of Thrones any day. The next category I want to talk about is Best Performance in a Movie. The nominees for this one are Amandla Stenberg in The Hate U Give, Lady Gaga in A Star is Born, Lupita Nyong’o in Us, Rami Malek in Bohemian Rhapsody, and Sandra Bullock in Bird Box. For this one I am going to go with the obvious answer. It has to go to Lady Gaga right? I mean if you can get nominated for an Oscar for a role, I am pretty sure you can win the MTV Movie and TV award for it. And honestly no shade to the other actresses, because they are all queens, but Gaga absolutely slayed as Ally. It was a musical and theatrical masterpiece and if she doesn’t win I am going to be pissed. Don’t worry I voted for her before voting closed. And the last category I want to discuss is my personal favorite one – Best Kiss. This is why I love MTV. All awards shows should have a category like this. The nominees are Camila Mendes & Charles Melton in Riverdale, Jason Momoa & Amber Heard in Aquaman, Ncuti Gatwa & Connor Swindells in Sex Education, Noah Centineo & Lana Condor in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, and Tom Hardy & Michelle Williams in Venom. Like are you kidding?! How am I supposed to pick between so many of my favs?! Ok these are all amazing moments, but if I had to pick just one, I have to go with Noah Centineo & Lana Condor in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. Because come on, these two are just perfect together and this movie really shot them both to fame. I would also be ok though if it went to Camila Mendes & Charles Melton, because they are dating in real life which would just be an adorable moment.
