Claudia Sheinbaum announces her victory and declares herself the first elected president of Mexico

Claudia Sheinbaum is recognized as the first woman elected president with a 58.3 percent advantage in the preliminary count. The opposition candidate Xóchitl Gálvez reached between 26.6 and 28.8%, while the candidate Álvarez Maynez reached 9.9% and 10.8% of votes.
