Clashes erupt as Palestinian and Israeli supporters confront each other in London

HUNDREDS of protesters gathered in London on Monday (October 9) following the unprecedented attacks by Hamas forces. Waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans such as: "we will not be silenced," protesters said the people of Palestine are the ones paying the "highest price" for a conflict that has been ongoing for decades. Hamas is a Palestinian Islamist militant group which rules the Gaza strip and came into being in 1987. Its name is an Arabic acronym for the Islamic Resistance Movement.
