Ovidio Guzmán did not seek protection against extradition: #AMLO
AMLO omented that Ovidio Guzmán, son of Joaquín ''El Chapo'' Guzmán, did not seek legal protection against his extradition. AMLO indicated that such move was part of a collaboration agreement to extradite alleged criminals. "The U.S. government made the request to the Mexican government. The procedure is that the request is received by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and, if it is authorized, it is forwarded to the Attorney General's Office, the person to be extradited is notified, has the opportunity to seek protection, to go before a judge, in this case there was, as I understand it, no request for protection and the extradition was carried out," he said.
