This is what rabies looks like in humans

The first symptoms of rabies may be very similar to those of influenza or flu, such as general weakness or malaise, fever or headache. These symptoms may last for several days. Rabies may also cause discomfort or a prickling or itching sensation at the site of the bite, and progress within a few days to acute symptoms of brain dysfunction, anxiety, confusion and agitation. As the disease progresses, the person may develop delusions, abnormal behavior, hallucinations, hydrophobia and insomnia. The acute period of the disease usually ends after 2 to 10 days. Once clinical signs of rabies appear, the disease is almost always fatal and treatment is usually supportive.
