Liquor-laced latte a hit with young Chinese

Chinese liquor company Kweichow Moutai and coffee chain Luckin Coffee have collaborated to launch an alcoholic latte. The “sauce-flavoured latte” containing the fiery Chinese spirit baijiu quickly sold out at several stores in Beijing and Shanghai on its launch on September 4, 2023. The companies said the alcohol content of the drink was less than 0.5 per cent of its volume.
