Thailand’s Pita no longer in the running to become the country’s next prime minister

Thailand’s parliament voted in favour of voiding the prime ministerial nomination of Move Forward Party leader Pita Limjaroenrat, on July 19, 2023, after political rivals challenged the use of a rule under which he was put forward as a candidate.
