Deadly floods hit China’s Chongqing as President Xi Jinping warns all main rivers are at risk

Flooding in the southwestern Chinese city of Chongqing has killed at least 15 people and displaced thousands more. Chinese President Xi Jinping warned on July 5, 2023, that all seven of the country’s major rivers were at risk of flooding.
