Tram set alight in Paris suburb by protests over fatal police shooting of 17-year-old

A tram in the Paris suburb of Clamart burned amid protests over the fatal police shooting of a teenager, footage published on June 29 showed. At least 150 people were arrested as violence flared across France on the night of June 28-29, French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said. Describing the protests as a “night of unbearable violence against symbols of the Republic,” Darmanin said town halls, schools and police stations were targeted.
