Extortion of CDMX Police demanded $10,600 or straight to the corralón (traffic stop)

Driving on the streets of Mexico City or the State of Mexico with foreign license plates is more than enough reason to be approached by police officers who want to extort money from you. This happened to a driver, who was asked by the police officer to pay nothing more and nothing less than $10,600 pesos or else he would be towed to the impound lot.
