North Korea has called a botched military satellite launch on May 31, 2023, its “gravest failure”, during a meeting of the country’s ruling party. The June 16-18 meeting also ordered workers and researchers to analyse the failed launch and prepare for another soon. Pyongyang has repeatedly said it would launch the nation’s first military spy satellite.
