The Little Mermaid - Ursula Evolution (2023)

Ursula, the Sea Witch, is the villain in Disney's The Little Mermaid (1989). She's a half-woman, half-octopus Cecaelia who tricks merfolk into signing contracts that advance her own goals and cause misery. She was banished from King Triton's palace and now seeks to rule the ocean by taking the king's trident. Ursula is based on the sea witch in Hans Christian Andersen's story and her character is inspired by drag queen Divine. She's widely praised for her confidence and theatricality and has become a prominent member of Disney's Villains line-up.
