Cases of human rabies reported in three minors in Oaxaca, one became brain dead

The government of Oaxaca activated an epidemiological surveillance protocol due to three suspected cases of human rabies detected in the municipality of San Lorenzo Texmelucan. Jesus Alejandro Ramirez, deputy director of Health Services of Oaxaca, reported that a minor who is a human rabies patient went into brain death. They are still trying to trace whether these minors had contact with more people who could spread this rabies, which allegedly came from the bite of a bat.
