by WonderWoman
Workers were seen fleeing the world’s largest iPhone assembly factory in China after a Covid-19 outbreak was reported at the facility operated by Foxconn Technology Group. The company issued three notices about cases in the facility on October 30, 2022, and pledged to arrange safe passage for workers wishing to leave and a sanitised environment for those who choose to stay on. Many workers left on foot to avoid being stopped by strict Covid-19 control measures on public transport or at checkpoints in the city. Earlier there had been reports of complaints about poor living conditions after the company imposed strict measures meant to stop the spread of the virus.
