The Haunted Past of Mexico’s Island of the Dolls

Mexico’s Isla de las Muñecas or Island of the Dolls is straight out of a horror movie. There are no concrete buildings, no electricity or running water. Just wooden structures and dolls. Legend has it, this small island just south of Mexico City is the site of the tragic drowning of a little girl.
