The moment the BBC announced the death of Queen Elizabeth II

"The BBC is interrupting its programming to make an important announcement". These were the first words with which Huw Edwards, BBC presenter, announced seconds later, at around 18:30 local time (17:30 GMT), the death at the age of 96 of Queen Elizabeth II of England. Edwards' words were followed by the sound of the British anthem along with a solemn image of the Queen in profile with the crown.
