#OMG: Municipal police officers shown beating a detainee; they are suspended

In San Luis Potosí, municipal police officers from Matehuala were shown on video kicking and stomping on the head of a detainee. The scene recorded by two witnesses shows the moment in which the uniformed officers subdue a man who remains on the ground, without resisting. "Look, in the face... it makes me want to get down and record them," one of the witnesses mentions in the recording. Following the broadcast of the clip, the police officers involved in the recording were dismissed from their duties, informed Mayor Iván Estrada Guzmán. In a statement, the municipal president of Matehuala reprobated the scenes circulating in networks and indicated that the case is already being investigated by the Honor and Justice Commission. At the moment, the motives that led to the arrest of the subjected person are unknown.
