#OMG: Huge humpback whale turns up dead on Petatlan beach

A huge humpback whale was found dead and stranded on Cayacal beach in this municipality of the Costa Grande region of the state. The male cetacean in the reproductive stage weighed more than 10 tons and measured approximately 14 meters. Locals reported the facts to the authorities on Sunday and so far the cause of death is unknown. No blows were observed that would indicate that it could have been killed by a boat, although the possibility is not ruled out. In a video on social networks, fishermen said that the animal was probably stranded on the beach since last Saturday, since on Friday they passed by the site and did not notice the body. They regretted the facts, because these are animals that come to the coasts of the Costa Grande to give birth and reproduce, in addition to giving a show at sea. So far the Procuraduría Federal de Protección al Ambiente (Profepa) has not provided any information on the investigations.
