Russia completes construction of the first passenger aircraft with wings based on Russian composites

Irkut Corporation, part of Russia's state-owned Rostec, has completed construction of the first MC-21-300 passenger aircraft, whose wings are made of domestically produced polymer composite materials (composites). The aircraft has been transferred to a facility in Irkut, where ground testing of its systems will be carried out prior to its first flight.
