Trump Planned To Leave GOP For New Political Party, New Book Reports

In a heated conversation on the final day of his presidency, former President Donald Trump told Republican Party leadership he planned to leave the GOP to create his own political party, according to an upcoming book by ABC News reporter Jonathan Karl, in a move to punish party leadership for not fighting hard enough to help Trump overturn the legitimate 2020 presidential election results.
