Police mistake deceased baby's ashes for drugs in the U.S.
Police officers in the city of Springfield (Illinois, USA) mistook the ashes of a deceased baby for narcotics while searching a man's vehicle. The incident took place in April 2020, but recently several local media outlets released a video of the incident which led to the suspected driver, Dartavius Barnes, suing the Springfield Police Department and the state of Illinois for damages.
