U.S. downgrades Mexico's aviation safety rating to category 2

The U.S. government, through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), downgraded Mexico's aviation safety rating to Category 2 and said it was "fully committed to helping" Mexican aviation authorities improve their safety oversight system to a level that meets international standards and is ready to provide expertise and resources to resolve problems.
