Millions of Central Americans depend on remittances for their livelihoods

Six out of ten Guatemalans depend on remittances sent by their relatives who have emigrated to the U.S. and other countries. And so it is in the rest of the Central American countries. According to experts, this demonstrates the economic fragility of these economies.
