Jose and Laura Linardi, from Houston, Texas, have been unable to see their family since January due to containment measures imposed by the coronavirus pandemic. Jose's family is also spread out geographically: His sister Elena, 21, lives near the university in Santa Clara, California, while his parents reside in Buenos Aires, Argentina. On the other hand, José and Elena's younger sister is in Montevideo, Uruguay.
