Abandoned twins will be transferred to the custody of the DIF

The seven-month-old twins named Nico and Mateo will be transferred today to a shelter run by the National System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF). After MILENIO publicized the abandonment of Nico and Mateo, the product of an illegal surrogacy, the legal expert from the General Hospital of Mexico, Dr. Eduardo Liceaga, determined, based on clinical records, that both were in acceptable health conditions for DIF to assume their custody or legal guardianship.
