White House CoronaVirus Hot Mic, reporters caught discussing cheating and vaccination

Conspiracy theorists won the jackpot Tuesday when a hot microphone at the White House overheard a conversation about coronaviruses being a hoax and the existence of a vaccine. The exchange between Fox News' John Roberts and New York Times photographer Doug Mills was recorded as camera crews before President Trump took the podium. In the images, Roberts can be heard saying to Mills: "You can remove the mask, the case fatality rate is 0.1 to 0.3 according to USC." "Is really? That's reassuring, "replies Mills. "Everyone here has been vaccinated anyway." Unreacted, Roberts goes on to explain that a “USC and Los Angeles County public health study found that there could be between 221,000 - 442,000 actually infected with Covid-19 in Los Angeles, rather than the 7,000 originally believed, would dilute strongly the mortality rate. Why did you ask… .. The @USC @lapublichealth study is real, but has not been peer reviewed yet. The rest of the exchange was sarcastic humor and sarcasm… there is NO vaccine. And it is NOT a hoax. - John Roberts (@johnrobertsFox) April 22, 2020 "Does that put you in line with the flu?" a third voice is heard commenting. "So it was a hoax?" Mills asks, before laughing as Roberts replies, "I don't think it was a hoax ..." The recording was widely shared on social media, as conspiracy theorists launched into one of two apparently contradictory data: that the virus was a hoax and that a vaccine exists but is only available to those close to the president. On Wednesday morning, the Fox correspondent, who is married to ABC correspondent Kyra Phillips, was forced to turn to Twitter to explain the joke. "Why did you ask ... The @USC @lapublichealth study is real, but has not yet been peer-reviewed," he wrote on Twitter. “The rest of the exchange was sarcastic humor and sarcasm… there is NO vaccine. And it is NOT a hoax. " So far, there have been more than 820,000 registered cases in the US. USA And more than 45,000 deaths.
