#Albania: Most powerful earthquake for 30 years hits Tirana

Dozens of people were injured when a 5.6-magnitude earthquake hit Tirana on Saturday. The jolt caused power cuts and damage to various buildings. According to the Defence Ministry, it was Albania's strongest quake for 30 years. People left their homes onto the streets and nearby fields for fear of aftershocks. The epicentre was near the coastal city of Durres, 35 km (22 miles) from the capital. In total, Albanian hospitals treated 68 persons, according to Health Minister Ogerta Manastirliu.
