Hurricane Dorian Leaves 70,000 People Homeless in the Bahamas

Some 70,000 people have been left homeless in the Bahamas as a result of Hurricane Dorian. The category 5 storm left a trail of destruction after making landfall in the Abaco Islands. The hurricane was the strongest to hit north-western Bahamas in recorded history. Millions of dollars in humanitarian aid has been provided, however the government has been criticised for their slow response to the crisis.
