First Porsche created in Nazi Germany is left without an owner

A Type 64 model car, personally created by the legendary engineer Ferdinand Porsche, was finally 'cold' in the auction held during the Monterey Car Week in California, due to a simple mistake by the organizers. It was expected that the Porsche 1939 Type 64, the last copy of the three cars developed in Nazi Germany for a rally from Berlin to Rome, would be sold for a minimum price of 20 million dollars at the RM Sotheby's auction house, reports Bloomberg Although the race in question was never carried out, the vehicle, known as the missing link between Porsche and Volkswagen, would soon become one of the most exclusive cars in the world. Designed on the basis of the Volkswagen Beetle, it became the sketch of the Porsche 356, which would later be the first serial production model of the famous brand.
