Brazilian police kill kidnapper who held hostage passengers on a bus

An elite police sniper from the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro killed the kidnapper who held the occupants of a bus hostage Tuesday and the authorities managed to free them. According to a preliminary report by the Military Police (PM) at the scene, the masked man, who was armed, died when he was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Before the outcome, the man, who had threatened to set the bus on fire, had released four women and two men who were inside the vehicle.
