#VIDEO: This was the explosion on the Caribbean Ship ferry in Playa del Carmen

Authorities of Quintana Roo are investigating the causes of the explosion on a ferry in Playa del Carmen, which left 18 people injured, said Joaquín Morales, general director of Public Safety and Transit in Solidaridad, Quintana Roo. The explosion was presented in a boat of the company Barcos Caribe that had just arrived in Playa del Carmen; It was reported that two of the injured were admitted to the intensive care area in a private hospital. The ship made the crossing from the island of Cozumel at noon and was in the last phase of passenger disembarkation when the detonation was recorded. The accident caused the mobilization of all the security forces and a deployment of elements of Civil Protection, Public Security, Firemen, the Mexican Army and the Navy of Mexico. Immediately all the crossings between Playa del Carmen and Cozumel were suspended and the removal of the area from all the boats was ordered to carry out the investigations. On the island of Cozumel, the Mexican Army maintains control of the fiscal wharf and carries out inspection work.
