#VIDEO: Demolish altar of the Guadalupe Virgin in Passaic

A member of the Mexican community, who looked saddened by the fact that the place she visited every day to pray to the Virgin of Guadalupe, the Municipality of Passaic buried part of her present. Two bulldozers and a gang of workers escorted by two patrolmen and four police officers were responsible for ending the Guadalupano cult established for more than a decade on Hope and Madison avenues in Passaic. René Barrera, of the Guadalupana stewardship, said he was surprised by the situation, "because he saw it coming, but it has been hasty, I would say," he said. Two hours before the demolition work began, the trunk where the Virgin of Guadalupe appeared was taken from the site by the Municipality, said Barrera. The manager indicated that they have presented a document to ask to be returned the stem, and are waiting for a response.
