Kobe rallies Lakers past Jazz 104-99

The Los Angeles Lakers took on Utah Jazz in their second-round playoff series opener. They met for three consecutive years in the off season. Kobe was still the star of the match. He shot in 5 out of 5, scoring 10 in the first quarter. Lakers led all the way. But the Jazz refused to give up, and started to come back under the lead of Deron Williams. Deron scored 24 points for fifth-seeded Utah. At the beginning of fourth quarter, the Jazz turned the tables and took the lead. But Kobe scored 11 of his 31 points in the final four minutes as the Los Angeles Lakers blew a fourth-quarter lead before rallying for 104-99 victory. Game 2 in the best-of-seven series is on Tuesday.
