SONY Cameras with VISCA Joystick Controller

http://ptzoptics.com VLOG #042 - In this video, lead support technician Andy Chatfield review a popular tech support question "Can I use SONY cameras with the HC-JOY-G2"? The review includes a live demo of the RS-232 VISCA based 3D joystick controller with multiple PTZOptics and SONY cameras. Andy uses a single joystick controller with a serial connection (Male to Male DB) cable to the first camera with a DB9 to 8 pin mini-din cable that is included with every PTZOptics camera (and our joysticks). From their Andy uses a "Cascade Cable" which is a standard Male to Male 8-pin mini-din cable. On the back of all the PTZOptics camera and almost every SONY camera you will see their is a RS-232 IN and OUT port that he is using. Therefore he can daisy-chain control using the IN and OUT ports on each camera. Andy controls a chain of cameras which starts with 2 PTZOptics cameras, a SONY EVI-H100S and a SONY SRG-120DH. This simple video shows how easy it is to connect and control multiple PTZ cameras with SONY VISCA.
