Six Year Old Fatally Shot At School Gets Superhero Funeral

Jacob Hall, the 6-year-old boy who died after a teen gunman opened fire at a South Carolina elementary school will be remembered Wednesday as a superhero. Hall's family has encouraged people to dress as superheroes at his funeral to celebrate what he enjoyed. Jacob, a classmate and a first-grade teacher at Townville Elemetary School were struck by bullets as they left for recess. A bullet struck Jacob in a main artery in his thigh, and he was airlifted to a Greenville hospital, where he died Saturday. Students won't return to Townville Elementary until Thursday. But the district's other five schools will honor Jacob by participating in Superhero Day. Townville teachers will take a bus to the funeral and wear superhero capes, she said.
