Matt Damon Defends Comment on Gay Actors

Matt Damon is in the center of another controversy. The actor is defending himself against claims that he encourages gay actors to remain in the closet when he said, “You’ll be a better actor the less people know about you,” which Matt says includes sexuality. In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Matt says he had not intended to make homophobic comments saying, “I was just trying to say actors are more effective when they’re a mystery.
