Dalai Lama is visiting Mexico

The Tibetan leader , the Dalai Lama called for achieving religious harmony as a way to find peace within individuals and therefore the harmony in society , during his fourth visit to Mexico . In a lecture at the Pontifical University of Mexico , the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989 indicated that today may all kinds of religions coexist anywhere in the world , even if they have different ideas . " For thousands of years there are places where there are many religions, though different , in a community should live all kinds of ideas as is the case of India " , accompanied by the bishops said Raul Vera and Onesimus Cepeda and the rector Pontifical University , Mario Angel Flores Ramos. "It is essential to develop the harmony of religions because that way they will provide the main focus is having inner peace and peace from within the individual also achieved a harmony in society ," he said . Buddhist monk stressed that believers in a religion should stop fights alongside them in order to convince the estimated 1,000 million unbelievers in the world of spiritual qualities , so it is essential reiterated achieve interfaith harmony . The Dalai Lama said that in all religions there are exceptional people serving others and is something which is very marked in the Christian religion, which has contributed to health and education. The religious leader said that throughout history there have been many religious conflicts so it is urgent to promote interfaith harmony , which had long searched for Pope John Paul II during his pontificate , he said. The Buddhist Ph.D. who since 1967 has lectured around the world and has visited 42 nations , said the act of believing in a god is laudable , however , the individual must practice religion openly pursue it without departing of spirituality that should be at the heart of every person . At the end of the event unveiled a plaque commemorating the visit of the Dalai Lama which will remain at the Pontifical University of Mexico and a group of children sang a song to Tibetan monk . The event was also attended by Arturo Diaz de León , Director General of Religious Associations of the Interior Ministry , Bishop Crispin Ojeda on behalf of Cardinal Norberto Rivera and the delegate in Tlalpan Maricela Contreras.
